Wrangell Roasting Company is a locally owned micro-roaster located on Wrangell Island in Southeast Alaska. Wrangell is both a sleepy little fishing village and a vibrant island community nestled on the north end of Wrangell Island on the delta of the great Stikine River. Wrangell is home to about 2,000 residents. The town has always been a major home to people of the Tlingit Kiks.ádi clan, and a 70 year old Chief Shakes tribal house still stands on the original location of the Shakes house, a small island now inside of the Wrangell harbor. Until it was built, the Kiks.ádi occupied the island since time immemorial.
Today, Wrangell is home to commercial fishing, some logging, and a growing tourism industry. Click here for more information on Wrangell.
